two choices non-stop from Iceland to Seattle, Alaska and Icelandair

Our take

When choosing between Alaska Airlines and Icelandair for a non-stop flight from Iceland to Seattle, comfort is key, especially for taller travelers. While Alaska's first class is slightly more affordable by around $200, Icelandair's Premium Saga offers lounge access in KEF, enhancing your travel experience. Both airlines utilize the Max 8 aircraft, and while Alaska may have a more cost-effective option, consider the value of service quality and any additional perks.

I'm quite tall so comparing Alaska first class vs. Icelandair premium saga. Neither are fully flat but it's a relatively short flight. Alaska is slightly cheaper (around $200) but Icelandair has lounge access in KEF. Icelandair has built-in screens but that is not a priority. What am I missing? Service? Thanks for your help.

Edit for more info: I do have an AK Visa, but miles are less of a priority for me than comfort. Both flights using the Max 8.
