Two nights in Istanbul where to stay

Our take

Planning a two-night layover in Istanbul is an exciting opportunity to explore this vibrant city! Since you'll be traveling with four people and large luggage, consider staying in the Sultanahmet area for its proximity to iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. This central location will make it easy for your group to experience the rich culture and history of Istanbul. Plus, it offers a range of accommodations suitable for families or groups, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay!

I have a 2 night layover in Istanbul. Well be flying into IST 4/15 around 4PM and flying out 4/17 from SAW around 3PM. Ive been to Istanbul before with my wife and we stayed near taksim square and liked it. However this time around itll be 4 of us. What would be a good place to stay considering the short stay and flying out of SAW, we will also have 4 large luggage’s with us so not sure if that will affect where we stay. The two others in the group have not seen Istanbul so want to try to show them as much as possible in the short time. Thanks.
