US Passport Timeline - April 2026 - Dallas, TX
Our take
Planning to get your first U.S. passport? Here’s a quick timeline from my experience in Dallas! I booked my appointment at the Dallas County District Clerk - East Office for April 3, 2026, at 2 PM. The process took about 30 minutes, and I opted for expedited service, ensuring my application would be picked up and mailed that same day. By April 8, my status changed to “in progress,” and I received my approved passport on April 15. Hope this helps you on your adventure!
First time passport in US (Dallas, TX)
Booked my appointment for Friday 4/3/2026 at Dallas County District Clerk - East Office. My appointment was at 2pm and it took about 30 minutes. The gentleman told me my application would be picked up on that same day and mailed out by 5pm. I did pay for expedited and the 1-2 days return shipping ($22.05) due to having a trip booked for end of May.
Application was received and status changed to in progress on 4/8/2026.
Passport was approved and mailed on 4/14/2026.
Passport received TODAY 4/15/2026!
Hope this helps! :)
