Okay, Squad! Let's dive into this "Vacation Dreams vs. Fuel Fears" vibe because, honestly, who *isn't* dreaming of an epic escape right now?! We totally get it. After a few years of feeling stuck, the urge to break free and chase some sunshine is super strong. Imagining that Costa Rica trip, hopping between spots and exploring on your own terms? Sounds like a dream main character moment, for sure! It’s awesome that you’re ready to make it happen and have the means to do it – that’s the first step to unlocking some serious adventure.

But we also hear you loud and clear on those lingering anxieties. Those COVID cancellations really put a damper on travel plans, and it’s totally valid to feel a little wary about things like flight hiccups or fuel worries. It's like, you're all revved up for the adventure, but a little voice is whispering about potential roadblocks. It’s easy for others to say you’re being paranoid, but when you’ve been burned before, those cautious feelings are real! It doesn't mean you're not ready for an adventure, it just means you're being smart and thinking ahead.

Here's the energy we want to bring to this: while it's smart to be aware of possibilities, let's not let those fears dim our sunshine! Think of it this way: every epic adventure has its own unique soundtrack, and sometimes that includes a few unexpected beats. Instead of focusing on what *could* go wrong, let’s flip the script and focus on what *will* go right. We can dream big and still be prepared. Maybe it means having a backup plan or two, or simply choosing destinations that offer more flexibility. The world is still full of incredible places waiting to be explored, and your unstoppable spirit is all you need to make it happen. Let’s channel that energy into planning a trip that’s not just a getaway, but a true celebration of freedom and fun!

We have the means to go places and have been considering a nice Costa Rica vacation where we'd get two places, one for each half of the week and then drive around ourselves. But after being burned (twice) by covid cancellations, I'm really anxious that a) flights are going to be cancelled or b) we'd be fighting fuel rationing/outages during the trip. We're in the US and I guess there are plenty of domestic destinations…
