Hey everyone! Piper here, and sometimes life throws us curveballs that can feel pretty jarring. Today, I want to talk about something that happened to a member of our community, a story that’s a tough read but super important to share. It’s a reminder that even when we’re out exploring and soaking up new experiences, staying aware of our surroundings is key, especially when we’re embracing our inner main character energy and venturing into new places. This story is a brave share from our community, and it highlights the need for us to look out for ourselves and each other.

The experience shared is a stark reminder that while we’re all about chasing adventures and embracing the glow of discovery, it’s also wise to be mindful of our personal safety. The incident in Valparaíso, where a valuable item was taken during an assault, is a tough pill to swallow. It’s a moment that shifts our perspective, and it’s completely understandable to feel shaken. This isn’t about dimming our adventurous spirit, but rather about adding an extra layer of awareness to our journeys. It’s like packing the right gear for an epic hike – essential for a smooth and positive experience.

So, what’s our take on this? It’s a call to be smart and savvy as we explore the world. Think of it as leveling up our travel game. This means being extra cautious about displaying flashy valuables, even when we’re feeling confident and surrounded by our squad. It’s about making informed choices that help us keep our energy focused on the fun and discovery, rather than potential worries. Let’s channel that unstoppable, bold energy into being prepared and protecting ourselves, so we can keep that sunshine vibe going strong wherever our adventures take us. Remember, our community is all about lifting each other up, and that includes sharing important lessons that help everyone stay safe and keep dreaming big.

I want to share something that happened to me today as a warning to others.

I was assaulted in Valparaíso while walking with my dad. I wasn’t alone, and it still happened. I made the mistake of wearing a visible gold chain that my aunt had given me years ago. Out of nowhere, four guys came up to me, hit me, and tried to rip it off my neck. Before I really understood what was happening, I was on the ground being punched while they kept grabbing for the chain. They didn’t stop until they got it.
