Visit Japan Web Codeshare Flight Question

Our take

Hey everyone! I’m diving into the "Register Planned Entry" form on Visit Japan Web and need some guidance with my codeshare flight details. I booked through Air Canada for a trip from Vancouver (YVR) to Tokyo (HND), with the flight number AC6249. However, it’s operated by ANA, which has the flight number NH115. The form asks for the main airline's name and flight number, but I’m unsure which to input since my receipts only show AC6249.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently filling out the "Register Planned Entry" on Visit Japan Web, and I’m a bit stuck on the flight information section for a codeshare flight.

  • Booking: Booked through Air Canada.
  • Route: Vancouver (YVR) to Tokyo (HND).
  • Flight Number on my receipt: AC6249.
  • Operating Airline: The flight is physically operated by ANA (All Nippon Airways).

The form says: "For codeshare flights, please enter the main airline company name."

From some searching, I've found that the ANA number: NH115 should be the same flight.

However, on my receipts, the Air Canada website, and the ANA website, it is all listed as AC6249, and nowhere is the ANA number.

Which would be the main airline and flight number I should enter?

I really appreciate any help, as this is my first codeshare flight.
