What is something you regretted bringing after a trip?

As a travel newbie, packing can feel like an adventure filled with excitement, but it often leads to a suitcase stuffed with items that end up being completely unnecessary. Despite the thrill of preparing for a trip, I find myself lugging around “essentials” that just don’t make the cut once I reach my destination. I’m curious to hear from others: what are some travel items that seemed essential at first but turned out to be totally useless?
As a travel newbie, I always pack my bags with so much excitement, only to find that half the stuff I brought is completely useless once I arrive. But then, for the next trip, I still pack them ‘just in case.’ So I have to ask: What are some so-called “travel essentials” that actually turn out to be totally unnecessary?
