Wine/Liquor
Our take
Planning to bring wine back to the U.S. from Peru? Exciting! When traveling to the DMV, there are specific regulations to keep in mind. Generally, travelers can bring wine in their luggage, but you must declare it upon entry. Openly carrying wine is typically not allowed, so placing it in your checked baggage is the safest option. It's essential to ensure you comply with the legal limits on alcohol quantity and be prepared for any customs inspections. Enjoy your adventure, and safe travels!
I’m coming back to the US soon and we have a bunch of wine that we want to bring back. What would be the requirements and regulations? Can we openly bring the wine in a crate or does it have to go in the luggage? Someone said to me that we can (openly carry the wine) but we have to claim it. Although I’m paranoid. Traveling from Peru to the DMV. Any sort of advice would be appreciate.. thanks and Bless you.
