Palma de Mallorca - to rent a car, or not to?

Hi everyone, I am travelling to Palma this August and I am wondering if renting a car is a good idea. I am planning on staying in the center and to travel every day to a different beach in order to explore the island.

> How is the parking situation, can i easily find a place to park near the beaches and how much does it cost? Would it be better to travel with public transport?
