Where to stay in Sicily from July 12-17?

Hi everyone,

I’m staying in Sicily for 6 nights in July with my fiancé and I am hoping you all will give me advice on where to stay! Considering time of year, would it be better to go to a smaller seaside town rather than a city?

Should i stay in one place or 2? I enjoy relaxing at the beach during the day but enjoy going out at night for dinner and drinks
