Found dumped/escaped roo with a cut beak? And hole in head?? And maybe a blind eye? People or chicken damage

hi! found this dude in my neighborhood. we have feral chickens but they are all in really good shape unlike this new guy. he's got a huge scab on his scalp (presumably from bullying), a literal hole (see last image, it's dry and... deep?), at least one maybe blind eye, and his beak is both cut and it looks like he got the top surface of it shaved down?? (you can see it best on photo 5 I think) I assumed based on all that that he was somebodies. unless a chicken can damage their beak like that by themselves.

anyway, he scampered away from me the first time I noticed him Sunday, but he only ran for a few feet before going back to laying down. he has very little energy and could not roost. he can't jump, either. so I grabbed him last night to give him at least some time in a pen with food and water. and I'm glad I did, he didn't have hardly any food in him for the night.

he's currently eating and drinking. he isn't crowing at all. which is probably a blessing because Im not allowed roosters where I live.

if anyone has any ideas about what life he used to lead, any ideas on what he needs to bounce back, any help at all would be appreciated. not sure what my plan for him long term is, if there is a long term for him. but I'm doing what I can.
