Is lanolin making my lips peel?

The corners of my mouth are constantly peeling since I started using nipple cream lanolin as lip balm, is this normal? Was looking for a petroleum jelly free lip balm but ever since I use it I somehow think my lips are dryer, even got lanolips and even those I just feel like they’re so heavy and too glossy. Any help for a good lip balm, preferably a stick I guess. Is EOS any good!
