politeness

Spain's blunt vibe caught me off guard: anyone else trip on that direct energy

That moment when you walk into a Spanish bar and the bartender gives you a look like you just asked them to solve world hunger, yeah, I've felt that. This traveler's story about Spain's blunt energy is such a glow-up in awareness. As an American and a Latino used to Texas warmth and Latin hospitality, the directness felt rude at first. But here's the thing: Spaniards aren't being mean. They just see politeness as performative, and honestly? That's kind of epic.
