Japan/South Korea in July/august, how hot?

Our take

Planning a solo adventure to Japan or South Korea in July and August is an exciting idea! While it’s true that summer can bring heat and humidity, both Tokyo and Seoul offer vibrant festivals and incredible experiences that make it worth it. Japan's summer festivals are epic, showcasing stunning traditions even in the heat. Meanwhile, South Korea, with its lively K-pop culture and more budget-friendly options, offers a unique charm. Embrace the adventure, pack plenty of water, and get ready for an unforgettable journey!

I want to plan a solo travel trip to Tokyo or Seoul then hop around other places for 2 weeks but I can’t make up my mind! I want to visit the festivals in Japan but everywhere I see people are saying it’s too unbearable but how do they manage to set up the events! While Korea is much cheaper I also love k pop etc. Help!
