Kyrgyzstan - Private driver recommendations and what can’t done with public transportation
Our take
Hey there, adventurer! Excited about your upcoming trip to Kyrgyzstan? Navigating transportation can be a bit tricky, especially with conflicting advice. For your journey from Bishkek to Son Kul, while minibuses are an option, many recommend a private driver for convenience. Similarly, for trips from Son Kul to Kok Kiya and Kok Kiya to Karakol, a private transfer is often necessary. However, the route from Karakol back to Bishkek should have daily buses available. Let’s make sure your transportation is as epic as your adventure!
hello, i am visiting kyrgyzstan in two weeks for the first time and organizing transportation seems so hard since I’m getting conflicting information online Here is the transportation I need:
- bishkek to son kul. My hostel said i can take a mini bus from bishkek to kochkor and then another mini bus from kochkor to son kul. Another person said private driver only. Anyone here do it and have any information?
- son kul to kok kiya. I think this one has to be private transfer. Any one have driver recommendations?
- kok koya to karakol. Same as number 2 above. I think private driver is mandatory. Any recommendations? I doubt i can use the same driver as from #2
- karakol to bishkek. I tread there are daily buses and this one is not a problem. Is that accurate?
Thanks so much for any help! i can’t wait to visit and just need transportation sorted
