Scotland on a budget?

Our take

Hey everyone! My sister and I are gearing up for an epic 10-day adventure in Scotland next year, but we want to keep it budget-friendly. We’re looking for tips on how much to budget for mid-range hotels, meals, and outdoor activities while keeping our total under 3,000 euros (excluding flights). We enjoy hiking and the outdoors, but I’m a bit nervous about driving on the left side of the road. Any advice from fellow travelers would be super helpful! Thanks!

hi all,

my sister and I are planning to go to Scotland in about a year for around 10 days . ive never been to a country this expensive other than my own (usa). what is a good budget to stay in a mid range hotel, meals, activities? we drink but not a lot, most of our trips are more outdoorsy and hike based.

is a car needed? I'm nervous to drive on the left side of the road but can get over it if this will improve my trip.

I'm trying to keep it under 3000 euros for the two of us, not including flights. is this feasible? we are in our 30s so not trying to stay in a hostel unless its a private room.

I know this can all be googled but id rather ask real people on here.
