Vietnam e visa processing time
Our take
Hey everyone! I could use some advice about my Vietnam e-visa situation. I’m currently in Japan and heading to Taiwan for a couple of days before my flight to Vietnam on the night of the 31st. I just submitted my e-visa application while waiting to board my flight, but I'm unsure if there's enough time for it to be processed. This is my first time applying for a visa, so I’m feeling a bit anxious. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hey everyone, I may have made a mistake with timing so hoping for some guidance.
I’m leaving Japan today, and flying to Taiwan for a couple days before my flight to Vietnam on the 31st at night. I just did the e visa application while waiting to board my flight (Canadian passport)
I’m wondering if I’m in a sticky situation. This is the first time I’ve had to apply for a visa so I’m new to the process.
Any suggestions would be great!

- E Visa Vietnam - flight delayedHello! I’m an Austrian citizen currently in Vietnam on a 90-day e-Visa. When I applied, I entered fixed entry and exit dates, which are now printed on my visa. My understanding is that those dates define my legal stay—not just the 90-day maximum. Now my return flight got delayed by 2 days, so my new departure date is after the exit date on my e-Visa, but still within the overall 90-day window. Has anyone been in this situation? - Is this treated as an overstay even though I’m within 90 days? - Is it better to try extending the visa for just 2 days, or just pay a fine at the airport? - Any recent experiences with how strict Vietnamese immigration is on this? - Canadian Traveling to Thailand/Vietnam - Visa QuestionsI'm flying to Thailand tonight with the goal of staying there for 10 days then flying on to Vietnam. I am still waiting for the e-visa from the Vietnamese government and haven't booked my flight to Vietnam just yet as a result. I realized that I need an exit flight from Thailand otherwise I will not be allowed to board. So here is my question, will the airline/immigration I deal with flying to Thailand care about the fact that I don't have the visa for Vietnam? If they don't I was thinking of booking the flight to Vietnam and if I don't get the visa, go to a different country. But if they do care I was considering booking a refundable ticket to another country to show I have an exit ticket while I wait to hear back in my visa status.
