What's a destination that used to be way more mainstream that it is now?
Our take
As travel trends continue to shift, many destinations that once captured the spotlight have faded into the background, making way for new hotspots. This raises the intriguing question: which once-popular locations are now considered less mainstream? With the rise of adventurous travelers seeking unique experiences, places like Taiwan, South Korea, and Central Asia have gained traction, while others have seen a decline in interest.
it seems that everyone is travelling more these days and there are a lot of mainstream destinations that used to be very niche a few years back (for example Taiwan, South Korea, Central Asia).
But what are some places that have lost popularity in the last few years? Nothing comes to my mind right now.
