Advice on Itinerary for Cannes, St Tropez, South of France in late May/Early June
Our take
Please give me honest feedback of things we can skip/not skip. I would especially appreciate recommentations on wineries in luberon region. We have a car as well, willing to spend a bit to make esperience better where possible. I am aware its a very jampacked itinerary. My wife is in residency and gets like no time off so trying to make the most of it. Toulouse also may seem like a curve ball for most but we have some personal ties there and I want to put it on our trip, so that has added to the chaos:
Saturday May 30:
- Arrive in afternoon
- Dinner at Table 22 (open to changing this) had also looked at Yvonnes or Resto Nananere
Sunday May 31:
- AM: Private boat leaving from Nice
- Lunch: In villefranche sur mer (Dry or La mere Germaine but open to suggestions)
- PM Activity: explore Old Town
- Dinner/Drinks: Le rooftop maison du bacon
Monday June 1:
- AM: Pool/Beach at hotel
- Lunch: Explore Cannes town walkaround casual lunch
- Early PM: Drive to St Tropez (2 hrs)

Tuesday June 2:

- Early afternoon: Walk around Old town

Wednesday June 3:

- Afternoon/dinner: Wine tasting and dinner at Fondugues Pradugues
-Evening: Drive to Luberon (3 hrs)
Thursday June 4:
- All day: Wine Tour in Luberon/Avignon (Would appreciate any recommendations on vineyards or providers. I think we prefer something private or semi private for the touring. A hired car or whatnot is fine, planned events/tastings is better
- Early evening: Pool or spa at hotel
- Dinner: Clover
Friday June 5:
- AM: Market at Gordes or Lacoste
- Lunch: Picnic at domaine de fonteneille

I can give a lot of suggestions regarding flights, how to book some exlusive tours, for instance the toughest tour to book of the whole trip was the underground colosseum, it opens exactly 30 days ahead at 2:15am est and sells out in less than 60 seconds... Always boom only official tours, theyre way cheaper, more prominent, but bots buy them out instantly to resell 3x **Montmarte food tour ** - La Crêperie mon ami - Café des Deux Moulins (Amelie filmed here) - Les Choupettes de ChouChou - Boucherie Jacky Gaudin - Le Grenier à Pain Abbesses Bodian - Le vrai Paris - La Butte Fromagère - Au Marché de la Butte (another Amelie filming location) - The Wall of "I love you" / Le mur des je t'aime - Titi Graille (oysters+wine) submitted by /u/crux666 [link] [comments]
- Thoughts on our honeymoon itinerary?Hello! We'll be taking a ~3-week honeymoon this September (maybe into early October). A bit about us: We enjoy walkable cities/towns with nice parks/green spaces, beaches, good food, coffee, wine, and cocktails! We prefer going to a nice wine bar or chill bar/lounge over a club. Right now we're for sure want to go to France and Spain, but are deciding between Italy and Portugal. Here's our rough itinerary: Fly into Paris for 4-5 nights (have been here before) Take the train to Cassis for 3 nights If we choose Italy: Fly to Milan for 3-4 nights Take the train to Bologna for 3-4 nights Fly to Barcelona for 3-4 nights (have been before) Take the train to Valencia (3-4 nights) Fly home (either from Valencia or travel back to Barcelona) If we choose Portugal: Fly from Cassis/Nice to Barcelona Take the train to Valencia Fly to Libson (4-5 nights, have been before) and likely take a day trip to Cascais. Fly home (Southern California) Also open to other city recommendations! Thanks! submitted by /u/tayyylooor [link] [comments]
- Advice needed - Itinerary French RivieraHi everyone! I’m planning a trip to the South of France for late June/early July and would love some advice. Ideally I’d rent a car so I can move freely along the coast and stop in different towns. I may be going solo, as some friends are hesitant. What I’m looking for: Beautiful beaches (lots of them) Walkable towns with scenic views Some history/cultural visits Safe for a solo traveler Relaxing, peaceful overall vibe I’ve never been to France before. I’ve heard mixed opinions on Marseille for solo travel, so I’m unsure whether to include it. If I rent a car, I’d love to do a continuous coastal route with nice stops along the way. I'm even thinking of landing in Paris and taking a car from there... Thoughts? Open to any recommendations for towns, itineraries, do's and dont's, or just hearing about your experience! Thank you in advance :) EDIT: I'm also open to picking a base and taking the train/bus to different areas! I realized that's what most people do. submitted by /u/Mundane-Macaron-8942 [link] [comments]
